Nominal sizes, pressure ratings and materials at Fromme

The Fig number is enough

Design, material and pressure rating are unambiguously defined by the figure number.

DN 15 to DN 800

From globe valves from DN 15 to flat wedge gate valves in DN 800.

PN 10 to PN 40

Round wedge gate valves additionally in PN 25, bellows-sealed valves up to PN 40.

Bellows for TA Luft

Fig 114 and Fig 231 seal the stem hermetically to the outside.

Material range

Grey cast iron EN-GJL-250, cast steel 1.0619, forged steel and stainless steel 1.4408 or 1.4571.

Screens in 1.4301

The strainers Fig 316, 351/352 and 380 have screen inserts in stainless steel.

The Fromme range at Armaturenfabrik

We trade in valves from Fromme and supply from the manufacturer range. The series listed below are a selection from our catalogue – we can source the complete Fromme range, including Fig numbers not listed here.

The Fig number is the ordering key

Fromme organises its entire range by figure numbers. If you know the number from an existing plant, that alone is enough for an enquiry – design, material and pressure rating are then unambiguously defined. The overview below shows the groups we supply regularly.

Gland packing or bellows – the decisive question

On the globe valves the stem sealing is the selection criterion. A gland packing can be adjusted and serviced during operation. A bellows seals the stem hermetically to the outside – necessary with heat transfer oil, with steam and wherever leakage to the outside has to be ruled out, for example under the German TA Luft clean air regulation.

Optional: adaptations to Fromme valves

As a rule we supply the Fromme series version. Beyond that the following is possible with Fromme – optional, not a precondition:

  • change of material within the series, from grey cast iron through cast steel to stainless steel
  • bellows instead of gland packing on the globe valves
  • screen inserts with a different mesh size on the strainers
  • automation with a pneumatic or electric actuator

FAQs

Can Fromme Armaturen be customized?

Yes – material, stem sealing and mesh size can be selected; further connections available.

For steam, heat transfer oil, water and process lines from DN 15 to DN 800.

Yes, on request supplied as an assembly with actuator and test report.

We first review the operating data, materials and connection dimensions, then select the appropriate version from the Fromme Armaturen range. On request we add accessories and documentation.

Because the Fig number system runs consistently from globe valves through gate valves to strainers – and because of our experience as a partner.
