Compensators are indispensable components in pipeline construction. They compensate for temperature fluctuations, pressure changes and movements, reduce vibrations and protect your systems from mechanical loads.
Our compensators are designed for use in steam systems, the chemical and process industries, water and wastewater technology and plant engineering.

Planning and production of complete piping assemblies
Compensators are far more than just flexible connecting elements – they are a central component of modern valve and system solutions. In complex piping systems, they take on the task of compensating for expansion, vibrations and pressure fluctuations and thus make a decisive contribution to operational safety, durability and efficiency.
Our compensators are not just standard products, but are used as integrated system components in valve production and plant engineering.
This means for you:
With this combination, we create customized solutions that not only supply individual components, but also complete systems for your industrial requirements.
Expansion joints absorb thermal expansion, installation offsets and vibration in pipelines and thus relieve pumps, nozzles and fixed points. Three questions are decisive for the selection: which movement occurs, which material suits the medium and how it is connected.
Axialkompensatoren absorb changes in length along the pipe axis and are the standard case for thermal expansion. Lateralkompensatoren such as the type 222 absorb lateral movements only; they are braced by welded-on tie rods so that the internal pressure does not force the pipeline apart – designed for operating pressures up to 25 barg, available in PN 6, PN 10, PN 16 and PN 25. Gummikompensatoren absorb movements in several directions and at the same time provide vibration and noise decoupling: the flat-corrugated type 50 reduces up to 70 % of the incoming energy and is available in DN 20 to DN 1000, as standard in PN 10.
The corrugated bellows of our metal expansion joints is made of Edelstahl 1.4541. Single-ply bellows (type 206, type 208) are the vacuum-tight standard version, multi-ply bellows (type 210, type 212) are designed for higher pressure requirements and additionally absorb lateral and angular movements. The permissible operating data are, for the type 208, DN 15 to DN 150 at 16 barg and DN 200 to DN 250 at 10 barg, and for the type 206 DN 15 to DN 50 at 16 barg.
Zur Wahl stehen Weld ends in carbon steel, bevelled ready for installation – on the type 210 from a wall thickness of 3.5 mm – as well as drehbare Losflansche, which make aligning the bolt patterns easier. On the rubber expansion joint type 50 the flanges are rotatable on both sides and in electro-galvanised steel; the moulded sealing bead seals by itself, and additional seals are not required.
On the rubber expansion joint type 50 the vacuum resistance depends on the nominal size: DN 20 to DN 50 are vacuum-tight, DN 65 to DN 250 withstand down to -200 mbar, and from DN 300 a vacuum support spiral is required – with it all nominal sizes up to DN 1000 are vacuum-tight. The metal expansion joints type 206 and type 208 are vacuum-tight in the standard version.
For abrasive or flow-critical media we supply metal expansion joints with Innenleitrohr (type 223), for mechanical protection with an external protection tube, and for greater face-to-face lengths with a welded-in Zwischenrohr. Typical applications are steam plants, water and wastewater technology, chemical and process plants, building services and plant engineering as well as engine and shipbuilding, solar and wind energy plants.
Note on installation: The rubber bellows must not be painted and, at medium temperatures above 50 °C, must not be insulated.
Depending on type: axial, lateral and angular.
