EPI specializes in high-quality ball valves for industrial applications where reliability and material resistance are crucial. As a valve manufacturer, we combine the quality of EPI with our engineering expertise: we not only supply standard products, but also configure complete systems – including modification, automation and documentation.
Corrosion-resistant materials for aggressive media.
For demanding operating conditions and safety applications.
Mounting flange to ISO 5211 on all series that can be automated.
For ATEX zones, high temperatures and special standards.
Customization and integration into existing systems – including ISO 5211 interfaces.
CIP/SIP
Hygienic ball valves with
FDA-compliant gaskets.
Ball valves for aggressive media, ATEX versions for Ex zones.
Ball valves for hot water, steam and condensate.
Robust ball valves for water treatment and recirculation systems.
High-pressure ball valves for offshore and refinery applications.
ISO-5211-compatible ball valves for automated systems.
VL denotes the threaded and welded versions, VLA the flanged ball valves.
The socket and welded versions reach PN 63, the flanged series PN 16 and PN 40.
A uniform temperature range across all series.
Ball and stem in 1.4401 or 1.4301, seat and seals in PTFE.
Ball, seats and seals can be replaced without removing the valve from the line.
Standard on the series that can be automated.
We trade in EPI ball valves and supply from the manufacturer range. The series listed below are a selection – we can source the complete EPI range, including series not listed here.
With EPI the design is contained in the designation. VL stands for ball valves with a threaded or welded connection, VLA for flanged ball valves. The letter at the end names the connection: T for a socket with female thread, B for weld ends, F for flange. A Z in the middle marks the 3-way version.
| Series | Design and connection | Nominal size | Pressure rating |
| VL-421T / VL-422T | 2-piece, socket | DN 15 – 80 | PN 63 |
| VL-501T / VL-521T | 3-piece, socket | DN 8 – 100 | PN 63 |
| VL-501B / VL-521B | 3-piece, weld ends | DN 8 – 100 | PN 63 |
| VL-521F / VL-540F | 3-piece, flange | DN 15 – 100 | PN 16 / PN 40 |
| VLA-816 / VLA-840 LV | 2-piece flanged ball valve | DN 15 – 100 | PN 16 / PN 40 |
| VLA-140F | compact flanged ball valve | DN 15 – 200 | PN 16 / PN 40 |
| VL-321T | 3-way, threaded | DN 8 – 50 | PN 63 |
| VL-Z316F / VL-Z340F | 3-way, flange | DN 15 – 100 | PN 16 / PN 40 |
| RV-600 | check valve | DN 8 – 50 | PN 40 |
The materials are consistent across the series: body in stainless steel 1.4408, ball and stem in 1.4401 or 1.4301, seat and seals in PTFE. The temperature range runs from −10 °C to +200 °C. The mounting flange to ISO 5211 is standard on the series that can be automated.
The 2-piece ball valve is more compact and less expensive. The 3-piece version can be opened without removing it from the line: ball, seats and seals can be replaced while the end connections stay screwed or welded in place. Where maintenance is frequent, the price difference pays for itself quickly.
With EPI we mostly supply the series version without intervention. Additionally feasible with EPI:
Yes – design, connection type and port function can be selected; further connections available.
For chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, water and industrial plants.
Yes, and 3-piece versions can additionally be serviced in the line.
The starting point is your enquiry with medium, pressure and temperature. From this we size the appropriate EPI version and agree the accessories and test scope with you.
Because of the high reliability, quality and flexibility of the products – and our experience as a partner.
