GEMÜ is known worldwide for high-quality diaphragm valves and control valves specially developed for hygienic and sterile applications. As a valve manufacturer, we combine the quality of GEMÜ with our engineering expertise: We not only supply standard products, but also configure complete systems – including modification, automation and documentation.
For sterile and hygienic processes in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
For precise control of liquids and gases.
Pneumatic and electric actuators, position indicators and limit switches.
For CIP/SIP processes, aggressive media and ATEX areas.
Customization and integration into existing systems – including ISO 5211 interfaces.
CIP/SIP
Hygienic diaphragm valves for sterile processes.
Control valves for aggressive media, ATEX-compliant versions for Ex zones.
Valves for steam and condensate systems.
Robust fittings for water treatment and HVAC systems.
Victoria in wafer, lug and U-type, DN 25 to DN 600.
The actuator is completely separated from the medium – no gland packing, no leakage point.
Die Membranventile decken DN 4 to DN 100 ab, Operating pressure 0 to 10 bar.
The butterfly valve Victoria is available in DN 25 to DN 600.
Wafer, lug and U-type – face-to-face length to ISO 5752/20, EN 558-1/20 and API 609 category A.
Body materials of the diaphragm valves: 1.4408, 1.4435 and 1.4539.
GEMÜ 487 with hand lever or pneumatic actuator, GEMÜ 488 with an electric on/off or modulating actuator.
We trade in GEMÜ valves and supply from the manufacturer range. The series described below are the ones we supply most often – we can source the complete GEMÜ range, including series not listed here.
In a diaphragm valve, a diaphragm separates the actuator completely from the medium. There is no stem passing through the medium, and therefore no gland packing that can leak. That is exactly why this design is standard in pharmaceutical and food technology and for media carrying solids – and why it still works where a ball or a plug would long since have jammed.
| Feature | Value |
| Series | type 671 hand-operated, types 675, 687 and 695 in further actuation types |
| Function | 2/2-way diaphragm valve |
| Nominal sizes | DN 4 to DN 100 |
| Operating pressure | 0 to 10 bar |
| Medium temperature | −10 to +80 °C on the type 671, higher limits depending on diaphragm material |
| Ambient temperature | 0 to 60 °C |
| Body materials | stainless steel 1.4408, 1.4435 or 1.4539 |
| Equipment | optical position indicator as standard, lockable handwheel clamp on the type 671, extensive accessories up to an electrical position indicator |
The diaphragm material is the actual selection criterion: it determines media compatibility and the temperature limit, not the body.
The GEMÜ Victoria is a centric butterfly valve with an elastomer liner in DN 25 to DN 600. It is available in three body forms – wafer for installation between flanges, lug with threaded lugs for use as an end-of-line valve, and U-type.

The standard case is supply of the GEMÜ series version. Only on express request do we add to GEMÜ deliveries:
Yes – diaphragm material, body variant and actuator can be selected; further connections available.
For media carrying solids and for sterile media, and for water treatment.
Yes, fitted on request with a hand lever, pneumatic or modulating actuator.
A single contact accompanies sizing, procurement and installation. For GEMÜ we agree on automation, function testing and documentation in advance.
Because of the high reliability, quality and specialization in sterile applications – and our experience as a partner.
