SAMSON is a world leader in control technology for industrial processes. The products are known for their precision, reliability and versatility in demanding applications. As a valve manufacturer, we integrate SAMSON components into complete systems – including modification, automation and documentation. This results in solutions that control your processes efficiently and safely.
For precise flow, pressure and temperature control.
For reliable shut-off in complex control circuits.
Not required on the type 41-23: it controls medium-actuated without an external power supply.
For aggressive media, high pressure, ATEX areas and special standards.
Customization and integration into existing systems – including ISO 5211 interfaces.
Soft-seated version with leakage rate class IV.
Nominal pressure ratings PN 16, PN 25 and PN 40 available.
Setpoints from 0.05 to 28 bar via interchangeable springs.
Balancing bellows from Kvs 4 for low actuating forces.
Nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 100, bellows actuator in two frame sizes.
The setpoint range of the type 41-23 is set via interchangeable springs.
Nominal sizes from DN 15 to DN 100, bellows actuator in two sizes.
The nominal pressure rating is selected according to the installation situation.
Metal-seated class I with ≤ 0.05 % of the Kvs value, soft-seated class IV with ≤ 0.01 %.
Standard from Kvs 4 – it balances the plug and keeps the actuating forces low.
Self-operated proportional regulator: no power, no control air.
We trade in SAMSON valves and supply from the manufacturer range. The pressure reducing valve described below is the series we supply most often – we can source the complete SAMSON range, including control valves not listed here.
The type 41-23 is a self-operated proportional regulator. It holds the downstream pressure at the set value without electrical power and without control air – the force of the setpoint springs and the medium pressure on the operating diaphragm regulate against one another. That makes it usable wherever no auxiliary power is available.
| Feature | Value |
| Setpoint range | 0.05 to 28 bar – via interchangeable setpoint springs |
| Nominal size | DN 15 to DN 100 |
| Nominal pressure | PN 16, PN 25 or PN 40 |
| Leakage rate | metal-seated class I (≤ 0.05 % of the Kvs value), soft-seated class IV (≤ 0.01 % of the Kvs value) |
| Balancing bellows | standard from Kvs 4 – it balances the plug and keeps the actuating forces low |
| Actuator sizes | bellows actuator in two frame sizes: DN 15 to 50 and DN 65 to 100 |
Two details make the regulator easy to maintain: the setpoint spring and the operating diaphragm can be replaced. A changed operating point therefore does not necessarily mean a new valve.
Note on installation: at medium temperatures above 150 °C the insulation of the regulator must be taken into account – the heat must not travel into the actuator.
The standard case is supply of the SAMSON series version. Only on express request do we add to SAMSON deliveries:
Yes – setpoint spring, sealing type and pressure rating can be selected; further connections available.
For plants without auxiliary power: the regulator is self-operated.
Yes, on request as an assembly with shut-off valve, pressure gauge and documentation.
A single contact accompanies sizing, procurement and installation. For SAMSON we agree on automation, function testing and documentation in advance.
Because of the high precision, quality and specialisation in self-operated pressure control from 0.05 to 28 bar – and because of our experience as a partner.
