The steam traps BK15 and BK45 are thermostatic traps with a bimetallic regulator for the safe and efficient discharge of condensate from steam systems. They are robust, insensitive to water hammer and freezing and suitable for saturated steam, superheated steam and superheat lines as well as for uncontrolled heating processes.
The bimetallic regulator can be set from outside to a higher or lower opening temperature – this shifts the condensate backup upstream of the trap. The strainer screen and check function sit in the body, so a separate filter is not required.
