GEFA stands for robust industrial valves that ensure maximum safety and efficiency in demanding processes. As an Armaturenfabrik, we combine the quality of GEFA with our engineering expertise: we not only supply standard products, but also configure complete systems – including modification, automation and documentation.
Centric and soft-seated as the lug version KG7 and the wafer version KG9, in various designs and materials.
Knife gate valves AT 100 and AT 200 for media laden with solids.
For reliable protection against backflow in sensitive processes.
Top flange to ISO 5211 for direct actuator mounting.
Klappenscheibe in 1.4021, 1.4571 or Duplex 1.4517.
CIP/SIP
Hygienic butterfly valves and ball valves for process control.
Valves for aggressive media, ATEX-compliant versions for Ex zones.
Butterfly valves and check valves for steam and condensate systems.
Robust valves for water treatment and HVAC systems.
Knife gate valves for abrasive and bulk solids
applications.
Liner in EPDM for water or NBR for media containing oil.
KG7 with threaded lugs as an end-of-line valve, KG9 as a wafer version.
Standard up to DN 300, larger versions up to DN 600.
1.4021 as standard, 1.4571 for higher corrosion resistance, duplex 1.4517 for chlorides.
EPDM for water and aqueous solutions, NBR for media containing oil and grease.
Part-turn actuators can be mounted directly without a special adapter.
AT 100 in DN 50–300 and AT 200 in DN 100–300 for media carrying solids.
We trade in GEFA valves and supply from the manufacturer range. The series described below are the ones we supply most often – we can source the complete GEFA range, including series not listed here.
Both series are centric, soft-seated butterfly valves. The difference lies in the way they are installed: the lug version KG7 has threaded lugs and can be operated as an end-of-line valve – the downstream pipe can be removed without dismantling the valve. The wafer version KG9 is clamped between two flanges and is the more compact, more economical solution where that requirement does not apply.
| Series | Installation type | Nominal size | Body | Disc |
| KG7 | lug, with threaded lugs | DN 40 to DN 300, larger versions up to DN 600 | ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT | 1.4021, 1.4517 or 1.4571 |
| KG9 | wafer, between flanges | DN 50 to DN 300, larger versions up to DN 600 | grey cast iron EN-GJL-250 | 1.4021, 1.4517 or 1.4571 |
The liner is available in EPDM or NBR and determines media compatibility: EPDM for water, hot water and aqueous solutions, NBR for media containing oil and grease. The permissible temperature is up to 80 °C. The top flange conforms to ISO 5211, so any suitable part-turn actuator can be mounted directly.
The three disc materials cover different requirements: 1.4021 as standard, 1.4571 for increased corrosion resistance and 1.4517 as a duplex material for media containing chlorides and for aggressive media.
For media carrying solids, bulk solids and wastewater we supply the knife gate valves AT 100 in DN 50 to DN 300 and AT 200 in DN 100 to DN 300 in grey cast iron. The plate design cuts through the medium instead of the medium flowing around it – which is why it is the design of choice where a butterfly disc would jam.
Our standard is the unchanged series version from the GEFA range. In addition we can offer for GEFA products:
Yes – liner, disc material and actuator can be selected; further connections available.
For water, aqueous solutions and media containing oil up to 80 °C.
Yes – we mount the part-turn actuator via the ISO 5211 top flange and test the assembly.
A single contact accompanies sizing, procurement and installation. For GEFA Armaturen we agree on automation, function testing and documentation in advance.
Because KG7 and KG9 offer the same technology in lug and wafer versions – and because of our experience as a partner.
