Butterfly valve KG7 Lug

Standard applications in water, energy and chemical plants

Data sheet

Product information

The GEFA butterfly valve KG7 in lug design is a robust, centric and soft-seated industrial valve for demanding applications in the chemical industry, power generation, water technology and HVAC systems. The sturdy ductile iron body, the high-grade stainless steel disc and the replaceable elastomer seat ring provide high tightness, durability and reliability – even in demanding media, at elevated temperatures and under changing operating conditions. Thanks to its end-of-line capability the KG7 can be flanged on one side and automated flexibly.

Special features

  • Centric, soft-seated construction
  • Lug design (end-of-line valve) – can be flanged on one side
  • Robust ductile iron body EN-GJS-400-18
  • Stainless steel disc 1.4408
  • Replaceable seat ring in EPDM (further materials possible)
  • Vacuum-tight and suitable for demanding industrial media
  • Optionally in ATEX version
  • Very easy to automate (pneumatic / electric)

Advantages

  • Lug design with threaded lugs – can be used as an end-of-line valve
  • Face-to-face length to EN 558-1 series 20 (DIN 3202-K1)
  • Liner materials EPDM, NBR and PTFE
  • MULTITOP mounting plate and square adapter for larger actuator flanges

Versions

  • Nominal sizes: DN 50-DN 300
  • Pressure ratings:
    PN 10 / PN 16
    ASME Class 150
  • Sealing materials:
    EPDM (standard)
    On request: NBR, Viton, PTFE
  • Disc material: stainless steel 1.4408 (standard)
  • Version:
    End-of-line valve / lug type
    Two-piece body with threaded lugs
    Flanged on one side
  • Automation options:
    Pneumatic part-turn actuators
    Electric actuators (24 V / 230 V)
Limit switch boxes, position indicators, solenoid valves
    Brackets, adapters, stem extensions

Areas of application

  • Shut-off duty in nominal sizes DN 50 to DN 300
  • Installation as an end-of-line valve thanks to threaded lugs
  • Water, air and neutral media
  • Automation via the MULTITOP mounting plate

Selection and installation

The threaded lugs of the KG7 take up the flange bolts – this allows the downstream pipe to be dismantled without loosening the valve. For pure wafer installation the KG9 is sufficient.
