Bray is a leading global manufacturer of butterfly valves, ball valves and automation solutions for industrial applications. As a valve manufacturer, we have been working in partnership with Bray for many years and offer you the complete portfolio – from standard valves to individual special solutions. We provide you with manufacturer-independent advice, modify valves according to your requirements and supply complete systems from a single source.
Series 20 to 33, distinguished by installation type and pressure rating, in various designs and materials.
For precise control and shut-off of liquids and gases.
Top flanges to ISO 5211, part-turn actuators can be mounted without a special adapter.
Series 31U with 285 psi, series 31H with 250 psi.
Sizes from 1 inch to 36 inches, equivalent to DN 25 to DN 900.
Top flange to ISO 5211 – part-turn actuators can be mounted without a special adapter.
Seat materials FKM and HT-EPDM for aggressive and hot media.
The series 31U reaches 285 psi, equivalent to around 20 bar operating pressure.
The series 32 and 33 cover 22 to 36 inches, that is DN 550 to DN 900.
BUNA-N and EPDM as seat material, operating range −29 °C to +121 °C.
The series number reveals the installation type – series 20, 22, 32 and 33 are wafer, 21, 23 and 31 are lug.
Serie 31U erreicht 285 psi (20 bar), Serie 31H 250 psi (17,2 bar).
The series 32 and 33 cover 22″ to 36″, equivalent to DN 550 to DN 900.
BUNA-N, EPDM, HT-EPDM, FKM, polyurethane and neoprene – depending on the medium.
Operating range with peroxide-cured EPDM as the seat material.
Pneumatic and electric part-turn actuators can be mounted without a special adapter.
We trade in Bray valves and supply from the manufacturer range. The series listed below are a selection – we can source the complete Bray range, including series not listed here.
With Bray the series number tells you how the valve is connected and what pressure it withstands. Anyone who knows the system finds the right series in one step.
| Series | Installation type | Size range | Pressure rating |
| Series 20 | wafer | 1″ to 20″ (DN 25 – 500) | 150 psi (10.3 bar) |
| Series 21 | lug | 1″ to 20″ (DN 25 – 500) | 150 psi (10.3 bar) |
| Series 22 | wafer | 2″ to 20″ (DN 50 – 500) | 150 psi (10.3 bar) |
| Series 23 | lug | 2″ to 20″ (DN 50 – 500) | 150 psi (10.3 bar) |
| Series 31H | lug | 2″ to 20″ (DN 50 – 500) | 250 psi (17.2 bar) |
| Series 31U | lug | 2″ to 12″ (DN 50 – 300) | 285 psi (20 bar) |
| Series 32 | wafer | 22″ to 36″ (DN 550 – 900) | 75 psi (5.2 bar) |
| Series 33 | wafer | 22″ to 36″ (DN 550 – 900) | 150 psi (10.3 bar) |
Two patterns can be read off: even numbers are wafer, odd numbers lug – and the larger the nominal size, the lower the permissible pressure rating. On the large series 32 and 33 it drops to 75 and 150 psi respectively. From our catalogue we additionally supply the types 40 and 41 of the higher series.
The seat determines which media and temperatures are permissible. The choices are BUNA-N for oils and fuels, EPDM and HT-EPDM for water and hot water, FKM for aggressive media, and polyurethane and neoprene for abrasive applications. Peroxide-cured EPDM can be used from −29 °C to +121 °C.
The top flanges conform to ISO 5211 – pneumatic and electric part-turn actuators can be mounted directly, without a special adapter.
As a rule we supply Bray products unchanged from the manufacturer range. Where the project requires it, the following can be added for Bray:
Yes – series, seat material and actuator can be selected; further connections available.
For water, oils, fuels and abrasive media, depending on the seat material.
Yes – part-turn actuator mounted via ISO 5211, delivered function-tested.
We first review the operating data, materials and connection dimensions, then select the appropriate version from the Bray range. On request we add accessories and documentation.
Because the Bray series system encodes installation type and pressure rating in a single number – and because of our many years of experience as a partner.
