Nominal sizes, temperatures and materials at Schubert & Salzer

DN 8 to DN 80

The angle seat valves 7010 and 7020 cover DN 8 to DN 80, the straight seat valves DN 15 to DN 50.

PN 16 to PN 40

The pressure rating follows the body material: stainless steel PN 40, gunmetal and brass PN 16.

-100 °C to +220 °C

All four series are available in these temperature versions.

Three body materials

Stainless steel 1.4408, gunmetal CC491K and brass CC754S – depending on the nominal size.

Positioner type 8049

The types 7020 and 7027 have an integrated microprocessor positioner with an i/p converter.

Rotatable actuators

The actuator can be rotated – helpful where there is little space above the line.

The Schubert & Salzer range at Armaturenfabrik

We trade in valves from Schubert & Salzer and supply from the manufacturer range. The four series described below are the ones we supply most often – we can source the complete range, including series not listed here.

Angle seat or straight seat – and with or without a positioner

The type numbers follow a clear system: 7010 and 7020 are angle seat valves, 7017 and 7027 straight seat valves. And the twenty series marks the version with an integrated positioner. Anyone who only needs open and shut takes the basic version; anyone who wants to modulate takes the variant with a positioner.

Materials and temperature range

On the angle seat valve 7010 the body material determines the nominal size and pressure rating: stainless steel 1.4408 in DN 8 to DN 80 with PN 40, gunmetal CC491K in DN 15 to DN 50 with PN 16, brass CC754S in DN 65 and DN 80 with PN 16. The straight seat valves 7017 and 7027 are manufactured in stainless steel 1.4408.

All four series are available in temperature versions from −100 °C to +220 °C and are designed for operating pressures up to 40 bar. The actuators are rotatable – a practical advantage where space above the line is limited. The straight seat design additionally offers higher Kvs values and better ease of insulation.

Optional: adaptations to Schubert & Salzer valves

Our standard is the unchanged series version from the Schubert & Salzer range. In addition we can offer for Schubert & Salzer products:

  • choice between the basic version and the variant with an integrated positioner
  • body material stainless steel, gunmetal or brass depending on nominal size and pressure rating
  • temperature version from −100 °C to +220 °C
  • actuator position rotated to suit the installation situation

FAQs

Can Schubert & Salzer control valves be customized?

Yes – design, material and positioner can be selected; further connections available.

For chemical, mechanical engineering, food, energy and industrial plants.

Yes, on request as an assembly with shut-off valve and documentation – angle or straight seat according to the task.

The starting point is your enquiry with medium, pressure and temperature. From this we size the appropriate Schubert & Salzer version and agree the accessories and test scope with you.

Because of the high precision, quality and specialisation in angle and straight seat valves with an integrated positioner – and because of our experience as a partner.
