The BK28 is a thermostatic steam trap with a bimetallic regulator for use in high-pressure steam systems. It is suitable for backup-free condensate discharge and automatic air venting in saturated steam, superheated steam and superheat lines. Thanks to its robust construction it is insensitive to water hammer and freezing.
The series follows the pressure rating: BK 37 for PN 63, BK 28 for PN 100, BK 29 for PN 160. The permissible operating pressure falls as the temperature rises; at high steam temperatures considerably less than the nominal value remains.
