Automatic steam trap during start-up and shutdown of steam systems
The AK45 is an automatic start-up drain valve for steam plants. It ensures safe discharge of condensate when starting up and shutting down the plant and opens automatically when the closing pressure is undershot. Ideal for steam manifolds, water pockets and pipelines.
The AK 45 opens during start-up and closes automatically when the closing pressure is reached – this is 0.8 bar as standard, optionally 0.25 bar. It does not replace a steam trap in continuous operation but supplements it for the start-up phase.
