Materials, pressure ratings and approvals at G Bee

Messing or Edelstahl

CW614N and CW617N up to around 150 °C, stainless steel and cast steel up to 180 °C.

PN 10 to PN 100

The type 87E reaches PN 100, the flanged series PN 16 to PN 40.

Fire-Safe

Metal emergency seat after the PTFE seat has burned out – on the 87E, 169E, KSN/KSL and 71 MS/ME.

DVGW for gas

Types 960, 87E, 835 and KSN/KSL are DVGW-tested.

L- or T-Bohrung

L switches over, T can additionally mix or distribute – not changeable afterwards.

Up to DN 250

The KSN 75 and KSL 77 flanged series extend to DN 250.

Brass or stainless steel – the first decision

The range divides into two material lines. Brass in the alloys CW614N and CW617N is the economical choice for water, gas and compressed air up to around 150 °C. Stainless steel and cast steel go beyond that – up to 180 °C, higher pressure ratings and resistance to aggressive media. In both lines the seat is made of PTFE.

The 3-way series: L-port or T-port

For distributing, mixing and switching over we supply 133 / 134, 135 / 136 and 137 / 138 in brass and 630E and 640E / 640S in stainless steel and cast steel. The difference lies in the ball bore: an L-port switches between two ways – one way is always closed. A T-port can additionally connect both ways at the same time, that is, mix or distribute. This choice cannot be changed afterwards.

Fire-safe and DVGW

Two features appear in several series and are decisive in the selection: fire-safe means that after the PTFE seat has burnt out, the valve continues to seal via a metal emergency seat – required in oil, gas and chemical plants. DVGW approval is a precondition for gas applications within the scope of that code.

Optional: adaptations to G Bee ball valves

Our standard is the unchanged series version from the G Bee range. In addition we can offer for G Bee products:

  • material line brass or stainless steel according to medium and temperature
  • L-port or T-port on the 3-way series
  • fire-safe and DVGW version where required
  • actuator mounting via the ISO 5211 mounting flange
