Data sheet

Product information

Accessories for pressure gauges are decisive for safe installation and reliable operation of pressure measuring instruments. All components comply with the relevant standards such as DIN 16261, DIN 16262, DIN 16263, DIN 16270-16284 and are designed for use in industrial plants. The choice of the right accessory influences measuring accuracy, operational safety and ease of maintenance, from stop cocks through valves to seals and siphons.

Special features

  • Manufacture to DIN standards for pressure gauge connections and shut-off devices
  • Materials: Messing, Schmiedestahl, Edelstahl (1.4571)
  • Pressure ratings: up to PN 400, temperature ranges up to 200 °C
  • Versions with a test flange or test connector for calibration
  • Versions for horizontal and vertical pressure tapping (siphons)

Advantages

  • Range to DIN 16261 through DIN 16284
  • Werkstoffe Messing, Schmiedestahl and Edelstahl 1.4571
  • Valves with a test connector or test flange to DIN 16271 and 16272
  • Pressure surge damper type 88 against pointer flutter

Vergleich

  • Stop cock vs. shut-off valve: valves offer higher pressure ratings and test options.
  • Double shut-off valve: for safety-critical applications with redundant isolation.
  • Siphon: indispensable with steam, to keep condensate away from the instrument.

Areas of application

  • Shut-off and testing of pressure gauge measuring points
  • Condensate separation in steam applications via siphons
  • Measuring points with a test connector or test flange
  • Damping of pressure surges via a pressure surge damper

Selection and installation

With steam a siphon belongs upstream of the pressure gauge – it keeps the hot steam phase away from the measuring element. Against pulsating pressure a type 88 pressure surge damper helps; both considerably extend the service life of the instrument.

Manometers in plant engineering and valve modification

Manometers are indispensable components for pressure monitoring in complex systems. They are used in numerous applications – from differential pressure measurements on basket strainers for filter condition monitoring, pipe production and pressure testing to integration in SKID systems for chemical, energy and water technology. Manometers and the right accessories such as globe valves, siphons and pressure surge reducers are also crucial for operational safety and compliance with standards in valve construction and modifications.

Typical areas of application:

  • Basket strainer: Differential pressure indicator for early detection of soiling
  • Pipe production: Pressure testing and monitoring during assembly
  • SKID systems: Integration in valve stations and dosing systems for process control
  • Valve construction: retrofitting manometers and accessories for modifications
