The automation of butterfly valves and ball valves is a decisive step towards greater efficiency, safety and precision in industrial processes. With our electric and pneumatic actuators and matching accessories, we offer you customized solutions for the chemical, energy, water technology and many other industries.
Electric actuators are particularly easy to integrate into digital control systems such as PLCs or process control systems. They do not require a compressed air supply and are therefore ideal for locations without a pneumatic infrastructure. Another advantage is the precise positioning and control, which also enables position feedback and Modbus communication. The ER-Plus series also offers multivolt technology, which allows a flexible power supply. However, electric actuators are more expensive to purchase than pneumatic solutions. They react more sensitively to extreme environmental conditions such as humidity or high temperatures and switch more slowly than pneumatic actuators, which can be a disadvantage in very fast processes.

Pneumatic actuators are characterized by their high switching speed and are therefore ideal for fast processes. Their robust technology makes them particularly suitable for extreme temperatures and aggressive media. They are low-maintenance and offer a long service life. Another advantage is the fail-safe function in single-acting versions, which enables a safety position in the event of pressure loss. On the other hand, pneumatic actuators require a compressed air supply, which makes additional infrastructure necessary. Other components such as solenoid valves and air preparation are also required. With exact position control, they are somewhat less precise than electric actuators.
