Made entirely of stainless steel – for aggressive media and high pressure ranges.

Data sheet

Product information

The bourdon tube pressure gauges type 232.50 (standard version) and type 233.50 (with case filling) are designed for use in the process industry. They are made entirely of CrNi steel and are suitable for aggressive, gaseous and liquid media. The type 233.50 is additionally fitted with a liquid filling to damp vibration and dynamic pressure loads. Both instruments meet the standards EN 837-1 and ASME B40.100.

Special features

  • Bourdon tube pressure gauge to EN 837-1 or ASME B40.100
  • Nominal sizes: 63 mm, 100 mm, 160 mm
  • Display ranges: 0 to 0.6 / 0 to 1,600 bar (incl. vacuum and ± ranges)
  • Genauigkeitsklasse:
    NG 63: Klasse 1,6
    NG 100/160: Klasse 1,0
  • Case: CrNi steel (1.4301 / 1.4571), safety level S1
  • Case filling (type 233.50 only): glycerine or silicone oil
  • Schutzart: IP65 (optional IP66)
  • Process connections: G ¼, G ½, M12 x 1.5, M20 x 1.5, NPT to EN 837-1, ISO 7, ANSI/B1.20.1
    Wetted parts: CrNi-Stahl 1.4404 (316L)
  • Safety function: blow-out device with a blow-out plug

Advantages

  • Wetted parts in CrNi steel
  • Type 233.50 with a case filling against dynamic loads
  • Display ranges from 0 … 0.6 to 0 … 1,600 bar
  • Blow-out plug on the back of the case

Versions

  • Connection position: lower radial, eccentric back, centre back (NS 63 only)
  • Sichtscheibe: Sicherheitsglas or Polycarbonat
  • Mounting: none, mounting flange, triangular front ring with bracket
  • Optional: oil-free and grease-free, NACE version for H₂S environments, special dials

Comparison with other pressure gauges

  • Compared with the type 212.20: higher corrosion resistance, suitable for aggressive media.
  • Compared with the type 213.53: stainless steel version for the process industry, higher pressure ranges.
  • Compared with the type 111.10/111.12: considerably higher accuracy and load capacity.

Areas of application

  • Process industry with aggressive media
  • Measuring points with vibration and pressure surges in the filled version 233.50
  • Display ranges up to 1,600 bar
  • Nominal sizes 63, 100 and 160 mm

Selection and installation

The case filling of the type 233.50 damps pointer movement under vibration and pressure surges – without it the movement wears out quickly. The blow-out plug on the back releases pressure to the rear in a controlled way in the event of a fault.

Manometers in plant engineering and valve modification

Manometers are indispensable components for pressure monitoring in complex systems. They are used in numerous applications – from differential pressure measurements on basket strainers for filter condition monitoring, pipe production and pressure testing to integration in SKID systems for chemical, energy and water technology. Manometers and the right accessories such as globe valves, siphons and pressure surge reducers are also crucial for operational safety and compliance with standards in valve construction and modifications.

Typical areas of application:

  • Basket strainer: Differential pressure indicator for early detection of soiling
  • Pipe production: Pressure testing and monitoring during assembly
  • SKID systems: Integration in valve stations and dosing systems for process control
  • Valve construction: retrofitting manometers and accessories for modifications
