The Bray Type 40 butterfly valve in wafer design is a double eccentric high-performance valve for demanding industrial applications in chemical, energy, oil & gas, process engineering and power plant engineering. Thanks to its robust metal construction, fire-safe seat variants and high pressure/temperature resistance, the Series 40 meets the highest reliability requirements. It is ideal for critical media, superheated steam, process heat and safety-relevant systems.
Special features
- Double eccentric geometry → reduced seat friction, lower wear
- Wafer version for installation between flanges (EN 1092, ASME, API)
- Fire-safe design in accordance with international standards
- Sealing on both sides at full nominal pressure
- Suitable for high temperatures up to +260 °C (depending on seat variants)
- Nominal pressures up to PN 100 possible
- ISO-5211 mounting flange → ideal for automation
- Durable housing materials: carbon steel or stainless steel
- Seat variants: Elastomer, fire-safe and metal seat for every process medium
Advantages
- Ideally suited for critical media: steam, oil, solvents, process chemicals
- Excellent tightness under high pressure conditions
- Longer service life due to eccentric design
- Low maintenance & robust for continuous operation
- Compact design with lower weight compared to gate valves or valves with solid metal seat
- Minimal pressure loss and low actuating torques
- Ideal for demanding industrial processes and automation solutions
Variants
